Cards - Energy GraphCloud Portal

Hi, So I asked this a while ago and didnt really get anywhere.

Currently to get proper half hourly data I need to download the daily energy graph. This isnt really what I wanted to do. I want the half hour break down, but would prefer to be able to download it weekly, or monthly. Im happy for it to include every date (would prefer actually) But what I dont want is to have to basically download 30 spreadsheets a month just to get the data I want.

Is there a way to get this, or is it just not deemed worth it to most people?

Cheers

shawry not directly from the portal. You might want to look into something like Home Assistant if you're wanting long term granular data that you can do something with.

shawry I agree with @Cdent. I developed a Node-RED flow to use API calls to download the 5 minute data for each day and store in Influxdb. During the migration to Home Assistant (but still using Node-RED for the programmatic bits) I realised that I don't really need InfluxDB because the HA history gives me all the data and charts I need. So now I don't bother doing daily downloads, just ad hoc history in HA.

Thanks guys, is there a starting point I can go to so I know what I need and how to start?

shawry Speak to the Geek on YouTube is quite good, he has some videos on installing Home Assistant and then the GivTCP add on you'll need. I've followed a number of his videos to get my automations set up too

What data do you want to download.
if it is to check bills and you are on Octo, you can do a monthly spreadsheet of half hourly data.
I manually mark mine up for peak and off peak and do some summation to check bills, but if i had sometime a bit of conditional formatting could do most of the leg work.

shawry SO you want to download a consolodated set of data, say Monthly? Containing each day seperatly, or all on one page? Can you supply a sample format you would like to see?

If it is deemed worth it for others, when the Devs get time, they may have a go at it.

Dont get your hopes up to soon though, as GivEnergy have a new Head of Software & Integration, and all that comes with a new boss, who has fire in his belly

Ditto, I find separating the 30 min entries into day and night rate and then adding each for the billing period laborious, has to be done though as again this month Octos bill was utterly wrong. refunded £223 this time, £50 last time.
