Hi All
I’m a new by to this forum but just had a new hybrid inverter and batteries installed. I gave it scheduled to charge E7 12.30pm-6am which works fine but it starts to discharged at 6am also and not at it’s scheduled time outside of E7.
I have the play button pressed to Resume setting.
Any idea what I might be doing wrong. Also, what does dynamic discharge setting do as opposed to scheduled ?

Set it to eco mode ON.
Set timed charge for economy 7 to 00:30 to 07:30 at whatever battery % you want. I set mine to 75% and let solar take over rest of day (in winter).
When 7.30 hits the battery will stop charging from grid and will discharge to home, unless you have enough solar at that time to charge it or run the home needs. I don't, Mine usually charges from around 9am due to the amount of sun.
Also BST is coming up soon.
Don't forget to check and change your timed charges - assuming economy 7 doesn't change! Think most of them are based on GMT all year round?
Also hoping that the clock change works on the givEnergy systems this year too. 🤣

I will bear in mind what you say about E7 times changing winter to summer.
However, my problem is in that the app seems to just discharge straight after the end of my charge period which is still in an E7 period. Hence I am loosing some of the gain of charging cheap and discharging to my home when prices are higher.
All this is in spite of having a scheduled discharge time specified. Damned if I can understand this.

Rod Set your 'TIMED CHARGE' End time to 6am, the same as your E7 end time. (If it is an hour out: Try in the Portal: 'Account Settings' > Sync Inverter Time.
The only other thoughts. As it is a recent install has the battery done its full charge/discharge calibration cycle? and if it hasn't could that be what it is doing/trying to do. or Have you inadvertently enabled 'TIMED EXPORT'?
Remember the battery is still the cheapest until the sun comes up.
As above, set charging for the duration of your E7 time - this will stop the discharge from the battery and allow you to use the E7 rates in the home until the end time, the battery will then take over from this point if needed ( or solar if producing and you have them!) ECO mode is a must. Make sure the updated times are successfully taken by checking the web portal under inverter settings.
Why do you need to set timed discharge? Just follow the advice, ECO MODE and a timed charge in the night time for your Economy 7 timeframe. During the charge time the battery will hover around the set % you've set in the app/portal, and it will start to discharge to home after that period ends. Solar will then top it off during the day assuming enough sun and your home isn't using it all up.
