Two charge periods?

I’ve had my battery set to charge between 00:30 and 04:30 and it’s been working well. Then, for reasons some Octopus customers may understand, I decided I wanted to add a second charging period.

When you go into the remote control tab on the inverter page, it shows a second AC charge period. So I tried to set the start and finish times of these, but although it seems to accept the start time, it keeps coming back with Inverter Timeout for the finish time.

Am I supposed to be able to have a second AC charge period, or not?

3.6kW hybrid inverter, 5.2kWh battery.

I only see 1 slot to set a timed AC charge (although I have the AC 3.0 inverter).

Edit: Sorry, I see the second slot in remote control but I don't think it does anything. It doesn't show in the main inverter settings either.

So I’ll have to change the times for charging slot 1, then change them back afterwards, I guess.

BarbaraG you should be able to do that automatically using node red for example.

I raised a ticket for this problem 16/12/21. Response was "This Bug Report has been forwarded to the technical support team for further assistance". Hopefully a fix will be forthcoming.

BarbaraG it’s an automation program. Can run on it’s own or within home assistant (amongst others probably)
It can pull in data from many sources - some are simple some more complicated to get sorted. But all are pretty much available on the net and can be modified to suit.

judgepd its firware dependent, whether slot 2 is present, not every inverter supports it so I think it was pulled until they do, to reduce confusion by providing a single consistent interface
