Octo R&D scheduler blocked

I have a GivEnergy hybrid inverter and 9.5kWhr battery plus PV panels.
I am on Octopus Flux

I had set a schedule to put some charge in batteries from 13:00-16:00 and then a discharge from 16:00-19:00 at peak time so I did not do any import.
I had set a 50% discharge limit so I had enough battery power to get me through to the 02:00 cheap charge time.

Everything seems to have frozen yesterday afternoon with this "skipped" notification.- see attached - the notification said the next event could not take place because of a clash of times.
I then separated the charge discharge periods, but it does not seem to have fixed things.
The battery did not charge last night and now just seems to be stuck on idle at 50%
None of the scheduled events after the failed 16:00 event yesterday have taken place
I have reset inverter to factory default settings and turned it off/on.

Is there something somewhere in Octopus R&D causing a blockage

Seen all too often.

Stopped using R&D now.

Was great with a few users, now it's got popular, it's down more than up.

GivEnergy are doing their own version.
A version already available in HomeAssistant
And a web version 3rd party in development by another regular forum member.

It getting better.

Should I therefore set my timed charge and discharge in the GE portal as Flux is not really automated in any way?
Trouble is GE portal only allows a single timed input and I would like 02:00-05:00 as charge and 12:00-15:00 as top up so I am ready for 16:00 discharge

Do you think it was an R&D server issue?

SteveCook I'd stay clear of setting timed discharge or timed export - unless you are willing to get your hands dirty with automation. See the other posts on timed discharge for more info!

I think most people are just setting a timed charge all day, ending just before the very peak rate starts.

I have deleted all Octo R&D schedules and reset the inverter to default and things are working again.

I think when using Octo R&D one needs a gap between mode changes otherwise the scheduler is going to cause a "hang up" within the GE inverter as it takes a bit of time to make changes - 1 to 2 mins.

I have set it all up again in scheduler and watched all the commands all day in R&D and GE take place correctly when there is a 30min gap between any R&D schedules.

SteveCook Ive seen this too, sometime you are left at the end with Eco OFF.

Why turn it off in the 1st place. no need. So till they sort their coding out, I've gone elsewhere.

A forum member is writing his own web API version, much more robust.

GivEnergy are working on their own too, in a Node red style of building blocks, so easy to do for the novice

If you are handy with c#, https://github.com/mattwhitfield/Solarverse is the one I wrote / am using. It could do better when Solcast's forecast is way off - but my bill last month was £80 cheaper.
