Slinger Just wait :-) Been a while since I added mine but takes up to a day.
I'm in the same position, waiting for Go tariff to settle down. At present the battery charges from PV during the day, and supplies the house in the evening. Once I have cheap power 0030-0430, will I be able to instruct the system to charge the battery during this period to tide me over in the morning till the PV kicks in? Or will the inverter/battery do this without my intervention?

Andrew Yes. Enable time charge for your GO hours and set the minimum you would like the battery to stay at. So in winter most likely 100% as we move to summer it is worth lowering to maximise the solar generation.
I am on Intelligent Octopus right now. I have timed charge set for the 6 hour cheap rate with a charge to of 40%
That sounds good. I'm keeping an eye on Intelligent Octopus, but it's not yet available for my hardware (Zappi & Renault Zoe.) Were you on Go before? Are you better off now?
Would that be for the El Born?

Andrew Well I was invited to Intelligent beta to test my Cupra Born with it. My go tariff was at 7.5p for 5 hours, intelligent is 10p for 6 hours. But yes, I am pennies better off per day lol :-) in the depth of winter it will be better though. 6 hours cheap, more time to charge the battery and less time i need to use the battery.
I bet they will add the Zoe soon. They took all VW ID's off and now they are all on it.

We have the same charger and EV. If you want to charge the EV overnight, ensure that your Givenergy system is set to a Timed Charge for the same period as the EV charge, otherwise the battery will discharge to the EV.
We have our Zappi set to ECO+ with 100% Minimum Green Level and 20 seconds delay. With this setting, as long as the EV is plugged in, the Zappi will divert all surplus generation in excess of 1.4kW (minimum charge level) to the car. We didn't do any overnight charging from the end of March to the end of October last year, bt then the car is very often at home during the day.

Ok had to reconnect Tariff to get it to read. But to get it to behave ie not to automatically override my settings and charge my battery to full every night I have had to disable automation settings. At this point i have to ask why bother connecting in the first place ???
Slinger having a tariff setup can be useful if you want to run reports or view yesterday's spend from the portal etc.
Octopus have now extended the Intelligent Go tariff to Zoe & Zappi, so I've shifted to that. It seems that I set up the tariff on the inverter, and remove the timed boost which I needed with Go, as the Intelligent tariff talks to the Zappi not to the Zoe. Estimating what percentage charge I wish to add seems a bit hit'n'miss. I'll look for a thread with Intelligent Go users, but if anyone has experience to share here, I'd be grateful.
Andrew yes, guessing % to add is interesting - I only have a 30kWh leaf, but Octopus seem to equate 10% to 1 hour of charging, which is more like 13% so rarely get it exactly where I want it.
Only tip is: no point charging from solar - may as well export everything you can, and charge overnight instead. (Both car and house battery.)

it really depends on the octopus database for the car you entered. I know for mine (Model Y) there were multiple options and not obvious if I chose the right one or not (were all called "Model Y" without SR, LR or Perf). Anyway depending on what you choose that relates to a kWh they have for battery size in their DB, and then that's how they translate % to kWh.
If you're handy you can interrogate their graph API and see the cars and kWh battery size database they have (and see if your Octopus device matches what you have at home)
