I was force discharging my batteries today ahead of the final octopus saving session. Trouble was I never saw a higher export from the battery than 4.5kw (2x3AC +2x8.2kw batteries). I can import at 6.3kw (according to Me app, and I’ve seen as much in the GE app as well).

I checked my DNO letter and I have a max allowed export of 12kw, so shouldn’t be limited there.. and there wasn’t a huge amount of pV at the time either. I checked the web portal and so charge levels were set at 3000W. Tried resetting to defaults and no luck. Anyone any ideas?

Have you ever discharged from your batteries at 6kw?
Did your install set your export limit on the engineer portal to 10kw which is as high as GE go?
Was your house drawing any power at the time?

My house was maybe drawing a few hundred watts, which solar would have covered. Not sure what export limit was set, based on DNO letter, assume it was max? I think I have before? I might contact GE to check the limit?

Smk82 GE support can check and change the limit for you. 4.5kw does seem a little odd which is why i asked was something in the house using the rest. Maybe you have found a new dual inverter bug?

Just checked and for whatever reason my export limit was restricted to 3.68 kw. I have requested GE increase it

Smk82 How did you check that? That doesn't explain how you were exporting at 4.5 though

THALL the battery was showing 4.5, 3.68 at the grid export. I’m guessing some was powering the house plus ac losses
