Hi there!

I have a new givenergy system setup, HY5 Invertor and 9,5kw battery.

Being new Im constantly updating the system to see what power I'm generating every time a cloud moves 🙂 however, it's a little frustrating having to wait a further 5 minutes to reflect any amends and changes.

Is it possible to increase the update frequency to something lower than 5 minutes?

I really appreciate any help you can provide.

dreamshock The inverter updates the cloud data every 10 seconds or so during a battery calibration but outside that it's every 5 minutes. To get more frequent updates, you can use the app in Local mode which will give you every 10 seconds or so.

just to be clear Tim means use the mobile phone app available for android and apple.

Tim I think the original poster is referring to when connected “away” whether there is scope in future to improve the update frequency faster than 5mins. I know the local is every 10seconds when I’m home mode, and I know it can be quicker if you pull data via HA. It would be nice for an improved away mode in a future update

Ahh I see - sorry I didnt realise local was faster than away mode - I will try doing this and see how I get on.

I quite often ran into the app saying 'You need to be connected to WIFI to enable the home feature' - even though I was connected!? so gave up using that.

I'll look into it further though as it sounds like that's the answer.

Smk82 thanks for this - you are correct.

Whats HA out of curiosity - sorry my system is only 48hrs old so still consider me a newbie 🙂

dreamshock Take a look at this: for details of HA.

Faster cloud refresh is in discussion.

dreamshock easiest thing to do is to auto discover your inverter. Close the app and then reopen.

It normally connects to local then.
