As of a few minutes ago, the battery is only at 69% and charging, and yet we have simultaneously exported 3.20kw today to the grid.Surely the battery should be prioritised over grid exporting? Is our system malfunctioning?

Blue Are you generating solar faster than your battery can charge?
Example. I have a GivEnergy AC3 but I am producing just over 6kw of solar and the AC3 can only charge my batteries at 3kw so the rest is either used or dumped to the grid.

Without knowing what system you have I’m guessing you have excess sunshine. So you’re charging the battery at max load (probably 2.6kwh), running your house and the excess is going back to the grid.
Best thing to do is make sure you have a decent export tariff so you get paid, or whack on the dishwasher/washing machine to use it yourself.
