Rapid battery %charge from 40% to 100% must be wrong?

I have a 9.5kwh battery which has been installed about 1 1/2weeks ago. So far it has been doing what I would have thought charging and discharging but never getting above about 30% as the weather has been rubbish and our usage high.
Today it has been steadily charging today but suddenly went from 40% to 100% within 1 minute. See below. It must be wrong. Anybody else come across this happening?

See the big SOC thread

Maybe also the beta thread - work ongoing to fix the issue.

In essence, your battery had more energy stored in it than the system realised, so it corrected itself. Very long story short, it is a big issue for many users, but GE is trying to develop new software to resolve this. Jumps can also happen the other way as well (down to zero). The best advice to minimise this is to try and get to 100% and to empty (i.e. 4%) every week or two - which is supposed to stop the drift (between real SOC (State of Charge) and indicated SOC).

Thanks, I just saw the thread. I didn't think to look under SOC originally.

Thanks. Hopefully you are correct, if not according to the solar to battery figure it has 4kwh within in the battery. That would last about 3-4hrs rather than getting us till tomorrow am. I suppose i will find out tonight.
