Does GivEnergy inverters stay on GMT ? need to be sure if my off peak settings are in line with EDF so called smart meter ( first generation..!!) which stays on GMT all year….
GMT to BST …?
No it should move to BST.
Mine did. But last year some inverters didn't due to errors.
Thanks TX
So the simplest way to be sure I’m within the EDF night time off peak I should set my battery top up to a mid point period…?
ONEIL No. Check what time the inverter thinks it is. If necessary, or if you're in doubt, go to web portal - account settings - Sync Inverter Time. That'll put it on the right time (BST). Then set up your off-peak to be 01:00-06:00 (if the EDF tariff says it's midnight to 5am GMT all year).
We also have the EDF EV tariff and a SMETS1 meter and EDF are pulling the 30-minute data from DCC for billing purposes (as am I). Since we only get billed once every six months, it'll be late April before I know for certain that they have billed the consumption correctly. We will also have more than 12 months of data with our PV system so will be able to set a lower direct debit to reflect actual consumption rather than estimated.
Many thanks Tim….👍😊
