Power modem/router from inverter eps

Hi folks,
Getting a double socket wired to my EPs on hybrid inverter next month.. wondering could I run my broadband modem and Netgear router from the socket permanently? Use the socket as a sort of ups?

michaelmcgoldrick Yes. By default, it won't be a UPS but you can request Givenergy to make it so that it doesn't drop out when the grid supply disconnects. Otherwise, it'll reinstate a few seconds after the grid drops out. You could also run a gas or oil boiler and pump from the supply to keep you warm in winter.

Tim If that can be done by GE, why isn't it a permanent feature ? Seems to me to be an optimal solution ?
