I currently own a solar iBoost+ which had been working well for about 5 years
I would like to have more control over the BOOST function but the iBoost+ just turns the immersion on at full power
My idea being to use some energy from my battery overnight but my household tickover consumption is between 300 - 500w so plus my 3000w immersion puts me right on the limit of my ac3 inverter output
I'm contemplating buying a Myenergi Eddi to replace my iBoost+ in the hope that I can configure this option (remotely idealy via Home Assistant)
Does anyone know if its possible to select the wattage that the manual boost runs at on the Eddi so I could then set it to turn on for a few hours at 2000w avoiding pulling any power from the grid.

My Eddi is configured on purpose with a device limit of 6.0 Amps (around 1440 W), so any solar diversion or boost is always limited to this upper limit.
I have set this limit to reduce the temperature stratification in the hot water tank.

Sorry Simon I'm not quite grasping that, are you saying that the max output is always 6amps even when in normal operation (not BOOST).
The iBoost+ outputs a max 3000w (12 - 13amps) to 1 immersion at a time, top immersion first then bottom. If connecting to immersions to the Eddi would it switch both on every time at upto 1440w each (depending on available surplus energy)

my iBoost+ doesn't do that, it tapers the amount of power based on the amount of excess energy available

Graham_Harrison , like how you are describing the iBoost, the Eddi has 2 separate outputs with an automatic change-over switch when the 1st reaches target temperature (or open circuit due to hard-wired thermostat) the 2nd output is activated. There is then a chosen time period (default 20 minutes) when the Eddi attempts to run output 1 again and checks if it is up to temperature or not.
The Eddi is rated at up to 16.0 Amps, but I have chosen to restrict that to 6.0 Amps as I only have 1 immersion heating element which is top mounted in the tank. I find that using any higher output results in a localised temperature overshoot at the top of the tank. I know this because I also purchased the add-on relay PCB that has 2 inputs for wiring PT1000 temperature sensors (1 positioned at the top of tank outlet, and the 2nd positioned next to the gas boiler thermostat 1/3 up the side of the tank).
The MyEnergi phone App displays both logged power/energy data as well as the temperature readings from the 2 sensors.
But yes, the device limit that I have chosen applies both to modulating output with solar excess and to the boost conditions equally.
You could choose any other device limit up to 16.0 Amps to best suit your 2 heating elements, and other potential loads in the house.
On the chart, the green peaks are the immersion running at 6.0 Amps (1440 W) with timed boost periods 0515 to 0630 followed by solar diversion for the rest of the day, and the grey peaks are an oil-filled heater wired to output2 set to 900 W on the heater itself. Not at home right now, so lots of generation going to export instead of in to my BEV, but at least my water will be hot ready for a shower tonight.

The software allows you to set that restriction plus many other useful parameters, time delay for example so when excess solar is noted it waits for x seconds before grabbing it.
Using extra ct clamps the app also displays charge to and from the GE batteries but not their percentage.
So would I be able to set a timed BOOST to do something like this..
Turn on Immersion #2 @ 04:00
Set power output to 2000w (2 x 3000w immersions connected)
Turn off @ 05:00

The device limit is set in one place using the buttons and screen on the Eddi, and is not visible anywhere via the App.
Via the App you can set time schedules separately against output 1 and output 2.
Well I splashed the cash and bought an Eddi, a Harvi and an extra CT clamp and have retired my iBoost.
My Eddi is in the loft next to my HW Tank (like the iBoost was previously)
The Harvi is in my under stair cupboard (ground floor) with a CT on the Grid and the other CT on my Inverter/Battery.
I will need another Harvi and CT to add full monitoring for my solar as its split (House & Garage) which I will probably do, and I'll probably add the relay board to the Eddi along with 2 temp probes shortly (I do already have temp monitoring for my HW Tank using NodeMCU based sensors linked to Home Assistant).
I've limited to power output to 9A so if I run a BOOST during the night it will only pull juice (about 200w) from the batteries not the grid.
I'll be playing around with a few settings over the coming weeks to optimise its performance

I dont recall the eddi settings but I question if it has more than 3 ct clamp associations, I dont think it does.

The Eddi doesn't (3 only) but you can "apparently" run 2 Harvi's which each can handle 3 CT's so 6 in total.
