I have the reserve on the battery set to 4% but the app, desktop and dashboard all show that the battery is 7%. I have a new 8.2kwh battery which I thought was 100% DOD. I’m a bit of a noob to all this but just wondered if this is correct?

Hi. I believe this is a bug which Givenergy are aware of and have mentioned before that a firmware fix will be released to correct it at some point. I actually calibrated my battery last night and straightaway tonight it's 'run out' at 7% not the 4% it's set to. I think it's only a display issue rather than a more serious issue but it's still really frustrating.

Has it been calibrated after commissioning?
It’s important that it is done.

judgepd noted, thanks

anglefire I think it was calibrated straight after installation. Is there a thread that tells you how to do myself?

I’m sure there is but don’t of hand know where.
But to answer the question it is in the beta cloud portal under the inverter panel and remote control. (The cog button)

Seeing 7% is normal at the moment. You are getting the full 8.2kw as expected however. This is a known issue and the suggestions has been made to GE that maybe the end user should see this as 0% and hide the charge that the battery needs to keep running from the user.

anglefire many thanks, the only options are off, start/discharge and charging. All the other options are greyed out (i.e. calibrate lower, calibrate upper, balance and set full capacity). A user guides section on the forum may be useful?

THALL cheers…and noted. I think you are correct as the older models where 80% but now 100% on the later ones which could get confusing?

Deej It's the 'start/discharge' option you need, but just remember if you do this then the battery will discharge itself to the grid until empty and then fully recharge so it might be worth doing it when the battery is already fairly empty.

Deej I guess it would help if they listed both pdf's on the site. But all recent units should be the 100% DOD.
