I have two GIV-HY5.0 inverters and one of them is working correctly but one is giving weird data that is bouncing between a realistic values and 100% full. This seems to happen every few minutes, leading to these weird graphs. Any ideas what's going on here or what I could do to fix it?

stealth someone had something like this before where the serial numbers of inverters got messed up and their portal was having 2 different inverters report data.
It looked a lot like this as the timespan between data updates should be 5 mins however yours look shorter with 5 min gaps between. Also some of your voltage readings appear to jump up and down a bit eratically. The installer had somehow linked someone else's inverter to their portal.
Admittedly this may be your other inverter reporting aswell - not sure how yours was setup from the start being a plant system. `
Solution was to cofirm inverter serial numbers physically then call givenergy to seperate them.

If it has always done this, I would also do the following test: Turn off the first system completely and check that the other system works as expected, with sensible numbers on the graph. Then turn off the second system and do the same for the first system. That will rule out any installation issues on one of the two systems (e.g. one CT clamp round the wrong way).
If that is all good, then I suspect it may be some kind of interaction/fight/oscillation between the two - possibly because the 2nd Gen hybrids have a faster response time, creating a positive feedback loop, perhaps???
But I also agree with Hoggy, that the timings of the rows in your data looks wrong - so do as he suggests as well.
Do you see two entries in the Inverters section of the Portal. If yes, do they both have different 'Inverter SN' and 'Dongle SN' values?

Thanks both for your replies/information.
Ok, we have some progress! I've traced back through the data and I can see that it wasn't always like this. It only started happening part way through 2022-10-17, which is the same day we had a givenergy employee over to replace a circuit board that had fried on that inverter. It seems that something must have been misconfigured getting that inverter back online.
I'm guessing the best course of action here is to email them and see when they can get someone out to rectify the issue?

I would post both of your screenshots (above) to the Facebook page (Givenergy Battery Owners and Installers), and ask Martin Phipp if he can take a look at the back-end setup - it may be far more efficient than trying to communicate with GE via e-mail. Just the sight of those graphs will probably get his attention!
