Battery discharge rate

We have a 5/5.2 inverter/ battery and are on the Octopus Flux tariff. When the battery is 100% charged how long will it take to discharge to the grid? Thanks

Gen 1 or Gen 2 inverter?
Gen1 2.6 kW 5.2/2.6= 2 hours
Gen2 3.6 kW 5.2/3.6= 1.4 hours

Depends on what settings you may have put in though
There is also a DoD of 80% on the 5.2 datasheet and that may mean you should only use 80% of 5.2 so multiply the times by 0.8

Yes, it's not actually 5.2 with that battery.

It is 5.2 kWh advertised, 4.178 kWh usable.

Thanks for your responses. Is there a ‘How to Understand and Manage GivEnergy Solar Systems and Data For Dummies’ book or download?! I didn’t realise that I would need a degree in analytics to operate my system. Thanks again.

Just to muddy the waters a bit more a single 5.2kWh is hard limited to 2.6kW on any inverter. They just don’t have the current capability (0.5C charge and discharge max)
So they with that and their 80% DOD (4.16kWh usable) taken into account they will take about an hour and forty to fully charge/empty.

More than 1x 5.2 battery is however able to saturate the max rate of any current GE inverter both Gen1 or 2
