On the off chance that any of the nice GivEnergy staff are here over the weekend, i was wondering if they could help me out.
We had a new system installed last week (5Kw Gen2 Inverter, 9.5 Battery) and the installer had issues commissioning the system. As a result the battery has never been calibrated and when the battery has drained it's fallen offline.
The same problem occurred on Friday and I believe someone did something to get the battery to charge from the grid for a while so that it kick start and start storing. Could that be done again?
Also can you see why the system wouldn't complete commissioning? Originally it seemed to be because of a problem with the BMS cable, but i think it was fixed when we remade it (the only BMS errors since have been when it was physically unplugged), then it was because the battery voltage was too low.
The installed seems to think that it needs a new cable between the inverter and battery but i'm not convinced as i think the BMS problem isn't being reported anymore.
Any help you can offer over the long weekend is appreciated.
