Hi all,

Batteries were commissioned yesterday.

First charge of the car (Mach E on Octopus Intelligent).
Noticed the car was pulling the battery when in dynamic mode.

Set on the app to stop discharge during O/I standard hours (11:30-05:30) but instead the batteries then decided just to dump to the grid instead.

Went to the website instead, was able to take the batteries out of ECO and set the Timed Discharge window to avoid the O/I standard hours but found that I woke up half an hour after and the batteries were discharging to the grid, even though Timed Discharge is disabled.

ECO Mode was still disabled, put this back on and the batteries stopped discharging to the grid.

Surely I'm not the only one that does not want to discharge my battery to the grid or the car and just use it for the main house.

No issue setting a discharge and export timer but I just wish it would do as it says.

I don't charge the car everyday so mostly I can just leave it in ECO mode, but I thought it would be a bit less manual than this.

Best bet is eco mode.

Then set a timed charge for the battery at the same time as your car charge, e.g. during the cheap rates.

You can also set a percentage to charge to (or discharge to) - it'll end the timed charge period at roughly that percentage.

Timed discharge and timed export can be a bit messy unless using custom automation. See the other posts on timed discharge for more info.
