Is there any point in the app?

Hi, so I have a myenergi zappi, eddy and have connected CT's to my load, my excess generation after batteries (although I have to call it generation).

In my my energy app I can see the flow quite well, except what the solar is sending to the battery etc.

But in the givenergy app the numbers do not make much sense at all.

Looking at yesterday on the cloud it shows I generated almost 38kWh and this shows next to the solar forecast page swell.
Looking on the app on the energy graph for yesterday it says I only generated 14kWh.

How can they be so different...

With the myenergi app everything is up to date...

Might help if you post some pictures to help show the difference you are seeing between the Givenergy Cloud and App data screens. Mine show the same data so not sure what you are looking at.

Take this for example:

The app shows solar generation of 7kWh.

But the total shown in the web version says 38.10kWh. I don’t understand why it doesn’t show the actual generation total. I have no idea what 7kWh is for.

Agree, it looks very odd. Checked mine again and numbers add up across both cloud and App. Suggest you raise a support ticket and ask Givenergy to explain.

The app generation isn’t live. You can tell by the actual time you took the screenshot (7pm) on your phone and the time it says it was last updated (5.57pm)

I bet if you do it now, it will have caught up.

It is due to the data not updating. in the following screen shots taken at the same time you can see that the app data is an hour old despite it saying it will update at 30 minute intervals.

Hook no I understand the time delay. But even taking that into account. The figures don’t balance. Looking later and those pages do not add to the total on the cloud page.

I asked a question regarding strange data on the app, the response I got from their service desk was that if you have a power outage or internet outage (even a few blips here and there) the data may be incorrect for that day.

The daily totals will always be right as they're taken from the EM115 meter (cumulative) rather than the system did this, at the exact point of time, in each five minute interval.

Maybe the app could be better programmed!

Is there a way to link the 2 apps so that I can see in the GivEnergy app what and when is feeding to the eddy?
