Battery charge rapidly drops to zero % when set to 10% minimum

Hi
I have my minimum discharge % set to 10% to allow enough capacity to run medical equipment in the event of a power cut.
Recently I noticed that sometimes there is a rapid discharge of the battery to 0% which is immediately followed by a period of charging from the grid to restore the 10% minimum.
Does anyone else experience the same thing and know why it is happening?
This has happened when the battery % is both above and below the 10% threshold.
The 2 problems are
a) I then have a period where I don't have the capacity to run the medical equipment in the event of a power cut.
b) The system (unwantedly) automatically charges from the grid to maintain the 10% threshold using electricity at whatever the tariff is at the time, which could be the maximum rate defeating the object of using battery power.

Is there anywhere i can upload and image of this occurring?

Hi Xavier, we have a fix coming for this shortly.

The battery percentage is a calculated figure and I've noticed that this percentage figure is becoming uncalibrated with the true voltage readings. This is currently with our firmware teams who should have something available shortly, this will be downloadable through our beta portal under my inverters > software update and will also be available to see in our changelog - https://kb.givenergy.cloud/category.php?id=1

Adam-Reynolds Will this new firmware be 1 available to everyone? 2 does it address the other battery issue of that some peoples batteries are not discharging to 4% and instead are getting stuck at 8%?

Thall, I have the same issue where it will hold at 10%, then drop to 0% and finally recharge to 10%. I dont have a massive run to fix like yourself. Possibly a temporary fix would be to set the lower level to 20% instead of 10%? Looking at the Beta portal, you can set this in My Inverter > Settings > Battery Options.

Simon I have my reserve set to 4% but my system will not drop below 8%. The 10% issue I have seen when I first had my system and you could set a reserve to 0% it would run right out then charge to 10% from the grid then stop discharging. Solution was to set a reserve of 4 or more %

How do I set the battery so it won't go below 10%?

bignelly Dashboard - inverter card - settings- battery options - set the reserve slider to 10% (not sure it will work correctly at the moment there appears to be a fault)

bignelly .use new bata system . when battery charged from grid or solar . On inverter card /setting /battery option set reserve to maximum percentage ,otherwise battery automatically discharge to lowest percentage . So set to higher percentage hold the battery power longer and stop discharge to minimum percentage. when you need battery for home fellow INVERTER /setting /time discharge and set the discharge power based on the wattage of the equipment used . if using higher wattage example oven ,kettle , set higher discharge or if using for normal wattage 50watt to 250 wattage .set to the 100 watt and rest grid will add on .lower wattage discharge can use for the longer battery hr. and higher wattage discharge with in hr the whole battery . try and share your experience .
