constant 0.02kw draw from grid?

I’ve integrated with the octopus API to pull in accurate readings for energy from grid in the dashboard. I seem to be having a pretty stable minimum of 0.019kwh grid demand (outside of two situations - demand being too high so pulling larger amounts from grid; nothing to take solar excess so its fully exporting a few hundred watts to the grid)
This is 0.019kwh per half hour slot, so 0.038 per hour or 38w equivalent continuous draw. I don’t know if it is continous or not
anyone else see something like this? is there any setting in the inverter where you can increase the battery draw to ‘overbalance’ the grid demand? maybe the CT clamps aren’t accurately measuring and it can be compensated for?

Small on the overall scheme of things but still adds up to around 30p per day/£10pm/£120 per year

There will always be a bit of grid draw, but it is better on the beta firmware.

It might be worth upgrading to 3012 if you haven't already done that. Although I can't remember if it's a battery or inverter firmware update that improved the responsiveness - so if it doesn't improve with 3012 it should with the forthcoming inverter firmware update.

It is the inverter firmware update that improves response times.

how do I update firmware - isn’t that locked out to installers or can users do that?

Users can do it. There's an option in the web portal, my inverter page, settings/software tab.

ok I have 3012 for the battery and 535 for the inverter so both seem up to date.

what are people seeing as grid import on their systems - when there isn't solar export going to the grid so the system is running solely from battery are you seeing around 0.02kwh per half hour slot? just want to set expectations. It would be nice to have the option to calibrate the CT clamp monitoring vs export/import behaviour to counter the lag if thats even possible.

mrklawUK I see on average 0.004kWh per half hour slot, it'll depend on load and what appliances may need power, and how quick the invertor reacts

running purely off battery (overnight) I seem to have 0.001-0.002kWh import per half hour block, but that is on a very stable load so the lag of the inverter has less impact. I'f I'm running my induction hob for cooking then the big swings in load up and down have a bigger effect. Daily import looks to be between 0.1 and 0.25 where I've had days which stay under the inverter output limit of 3.6kW.

With the beta inverter (AC3) firmware I sometimes see zero. Then when the sun is coming in and out, lowish values as below
