The Dashboard:

I cannot use the Dashboard because this view constantly goes flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick STOP IT YOU DAMN THING! I'm GONNA BE SICK!!!

Please can GE put in a pause button. I don't care about the total figures this thing keeps showing:

I just want the Today figures. Please stop this constant flicking!

Pretty sure it is a 10 second refresh? Is yours faster than that?

THALL I have a 5 second refresh. Waay to fast. Besides, I don't want it constantly moving! I can't concentrate on the rest of the page because the movement is too distracting, and that element of the dashboard can't be scrolled off screen or moved.

move your mouse into that top section, two more arrows appear, click the top right arrow and the figures change to a graph which stays constant.

positor1 Never spotted that before - nice. Just a pity the site does not remember settings as it reverts back to the numbers when you next go in.

The ability to design the dashboard would be nice but two clicks is not a big deal. no different to having to click on power graph each time if that is ones' preferred view.

Thing is; I don't want the graph. I want to see the Today figures. And I want time to read them. And I don't want the display to go flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick ad nauseum. That's why I said I want a pause button.

There's a reason no-one designing web pages uses the old HTML marching ants line effect any more. It's deprecated and loathed by anyone with any sort of visual sensitivity. It's Bad Website Design 101 - strobe effects, and a trigger for anyone with photosensitive epilepsy or similar conditions.
I would have thought the GUI designer would have at least passing knowledge of the W3C Accessibility Standards, and also know that it's a legal requirement under the Equality Act to design it in a way that doesn't hinder people with disabilities.

I’ve never noticed it as such. I’ve just looked and I think I know what you mean but I guess as I don’t suffer like you, that it isn’t an issue.
But rather than saying something on her other than asking if there is a setting you haven’t seen, that you contact givenergy themselves - only because I doubt anyone (from givenergy ) would particularly note your concerns. @GeorgeRawding might pass on your comment though.

Yeah, may be best to use the feedback section of the web portal to officially log it.

miffy I was proudly showing a friend my PV system and I showed him the dashboard, he asked how much it had generated and I pointed to the Generation total / Generation today but he couldn't see the yellow text on white, thats when I remembered he is colour-blind, he also struggled to see the consumption coloured text.

I can't see it either and I'm only partially colour blind. It would help if they used a darker shade of yellow/ orange for the text.
