Hi all just had my battery installed. Looking to set up smart tariff charging on the Octopus Cosy tariff. Is it possible to set the battery to mix solar and grid charge during the low rate times 4-7am and 1-4pm so that it is at 100% by the end of the rate?
Thanks

Simonl you only get one charge schedule set through the app or portal, if you want to use two you'll need something like Home Assistant, Octopus R&D or to do it manually

Ok thanks for that much appreciated. Shame, I wonder whether this is a development opportunity for the app as more people shift to Cosy tariff

Simonl I know a second charge time is an ask for many, so hopefully that's something they'll put in

Fully agree I am also looking to switch to Cosy before winter and had the same question. Do you know what is the best way to escalate this so that it get some traction before winter?

Cdent What do you mean by Octopus R&D? I noticed that if you add octopus Tariff to your Givenergy cloud service there is an option to go for automatic control of your inverter. Is that what you mean? Do you guys think that going for automatic would kick start 2 time charging?

WhiteGablesBR6 Octopus have a beta product that can interface with some tech brands, GivEnergy being one of them. https://smart-energy.octopushome.net/

You can set multiple charge/discharge slots here, however the caveat is that it's reliant on both the GE portal and Octopus servers being online and connected.

Cdent Thanks this is interesting. I tried it out, but I can only see graphs for import and export. I am currently on FLUX. I do not see any options to integrate Givenergy battery or scheduler. Strage as help clearly shows this optionality.

WhiteGablesBR6 In the Octopus r and d lab app, in the top right triple dots, there should be an option for schedule / calendar ( can't remember the exact name). You'll be able to create a timed charge in there. Or set it so if elec is lower than x pennies charge.

WhiteGablesBR6 have you entered your GivEnergy API information into the devices section? Once you've done that it'll take around 24 hours to show you everything you can then do with it

Cdent Thanks I can see it now. It seems, however, that this is optimised for Agile. All the manual is about Agile.

WhiteGablesBR6 it's not been updated in a long time, but I would expect them to start to include other tariffs over time.
