Givenergy 8.2 KWH battery and AC inverter location

I have space in the cupboard where the Concumer Unit is installed.

  1. Do I have to be concerned about ventilation
  2. The cupboard is of stud well construction. Can the support brackets be securely fitted to take the weight of the battery and the inverter.

You do need to be concerned about installation. If the cupboard is small and poorly ventilated I wouldn't consider it. GE specify certain clearances around their devices which should be observed. Also if the closet has coats in it (for instance) that would restrict movement of air around the components that would be another concern.
The 8.2 kwh battery is HEAVY (I think 94kg) if fixing it to a stud wall you would certainly need a strong backing board and that would need to be secured through the wall to the studs. It might be possible to secure the battery to the wall to stop it falling over but have the battery weight being borne by the floor.
The inverter too is heavy (circa 23kg) so again would need fixed to a backing board fixed through to the studs and the board itself might rest on the floor.
Depending on the layout it might well be possible to place the GE equipment in an adjacent area (e.g. attached garage) and run wires through to the cupboard. The equipment can even be mounted outdoors and wires run into the house interior.

Don't rely on my comments. GE or your installer should be relied on for definitive advice. This is just my thoughts.

Both the inverter and battery need space around them and decent ventaliation. My system is external, north facing always shaded and still hit 50c on the inverter during Summer. Plus as mentioned by kwmc the units are heavy. But I think there is a floor standing option for the battery.

THALL Thats close to the max allowed. What does this actually mean on the data sheet.

I don't think the temperature range refers to the temperature shown on the inverter data page, that should be an internal temperature on the control board.

Normally operating range labels are for ambient temperatures so 45 degree C is a fairly high number for the middle East let alone the UK.

mjkelly5a I found when temps go over 45C the input and output levels dropped. It would not sustain 3kw anymore, as expected really. It is still ok though, the system just throttles.
