Negative solar to home values

Hi,
I've recently got a new system installed, 19kWh Bat, 3kwh Inverter (GIV-AC3.0) paired with a 3 array Solis inverter, with 19 panels.
Now, the Solis inverter was installed broken, so am down to just 2 arrays (inputs) - however, when I monitor what is happening, I have no Home value (app & cloud) and for todays's reading Solar to Home is -60kWh (by 1pm today!!), the battery doesn't discharge to home demand, so I can see import from grid on my MyEnergi Zappi/Eddi

Think I've worked out the Home value - the CT clamp black cable wasn't wired in correctly (loose connection, around 10am today, you can see in graph grid drops off) but why do I get a negative value for Solar to Home and Battery to Home??
And I'm pretty sure that I haven't generated 4000 kWh in 50 days!!!

My installation has been a horrendous experience, and the lack of support from E.On and their 3rd party installers, Phoenix Solar in Darlington, is extremely poor. Scaffolding was up for 4 weeks, it took 2 weeks to install (on-site for 4 days), broken tiles, missing panel, dirty panels and the Solis Inverter installed broken... and still waiting 2 months later for everything to be fixed / replaced...

Id say your meter has been wired backwards.

I had an EON install, getting hold of EON for issues was simple enough, but as they simply outsource the work to smaller installers getting someone on site was a faff. The one time I did need someone out the person they sent was not from the same company who installed the kit!

I would complain to EON. Getting wiring wrong is bad and potentially dangerous.

THALL Would this be wiring inside the inverter (the ports underneath)?
I've checked the CT clamp and this now looks to be working correctly, and is the same as my MyEnergi readings for Home load

Cpt Darling I believe it should be using a meter an em115?

THALL Yeah, the CT clamp is now correct - the black wire wasn't secured correctly, I now get a reading on my Home and Grid import/export values. But the negative readings are from the inverter for how much solar is being generated - or is this just a bug on the cloud?

surely the solar ct clamp is the wrong way around. look for the arrow on it.

positor1 The solar CT clamp wires are connected to a OB115 mod, the clamp is around the Live PV/Solar breaker, arrow pointed towards the module. I've now swapped that to away from breaker to see if this makes a difference. However, how is the solar CT clamp monitored by the GIV-AC3.0?? You can see in the pics below that they have daisy chained a CAT5 cable (w/b, blue wires) between the OB mod and EM115

Swapping the CT clamp direction definitely isn't right - the values dropped to zero on the Power graph.

I think there should be a blue CT clamp for the solar. Around the mains connection to your solar inverter and wired back to the inverter.

Not sure it needs a separate meter. Certainly haven't got one here on my AC3 install.

Hey so it looks like you have this setup attached, green box is you.

So the 2 meters make sense if they have the right ID's. If that diagram is gospel then the em115 should be clamped round your incoming main cables before your fuseboard and have ID 1 and the OB115 should be as you found round the solar input after the RCBO with the ID 2. You can check the ID by pressing the button 9 times. See attached.

Maybe check that little lot and also check the clamp direction on the em115.

Thank you. I'll give that a try

Bobbles Cheers for the pdf's this has helped me massively understand the wiring going on.

Hope it helps. @TX200 may have a point about the clamps, i'm not sure what the difference is between the normally supplied blue ct clamp and the one you have in black other than the blue is solid core and the black is split.

Thank you everyone, my system is now reading and working as I think it should be.
