Looking at my 1st Octopus Flux bill and the kWH exported and daily price presented in the GE App Smart Tariff card do not match up with the octopus bill for the overall period. Does anybody know if the figures presented on the GE App Smart tariff screen for a tariff such as Flux are GE calculated or read (via the API) from Octopus calculated data to the GE app ? If it is latter, then it seems Octopus can’t add up!!

Dai what ever Octopus bill you for should come from your smart meter, so should be the most accurate.
Have you entered your details into the smart tariff so GE picks up your usage from Octopus or did you manually enter the tariff?
Is the bill period the same that you're comparing to the portal?
Can you give us more details such as figures/screenshots?
despite having a smart meter we find that Octopus don't always get the readings and end up with gaps - particularly impacted exports inevitably!
If you read through all the pages of the bill does it look like there are gaps?
I think Octopus got all the info in the end from DCC and adjusted. I'm not sure if that would have happened without us pressing them - possibly it would. Not Octopus fault as such... more about the smart meter connections & reporting to DCC
Firstly the GE portal doesn’t include total smart tariff units in their reports, it gives a £ total for import and export for a period but not the unit.
On the app, smart tariff card, you can manually step through each day in your billing period and create a total unit for the billing period.
For my latest billing period, when I add each day for the GE app it come to export 290.2 kw, Octopus bill for the same period is 279.8kw, which is why I am attempting to find out where the GE app smart tariff card is getting it’s data because Octopus will always deny their billing system is wrong.
Neither the 290.2 or 279.8 matches the figures read by the CT clamp and record in the generic GE daily/monthly report, but of course being CT clamp based those figures are approximate.
There are no gaps in the data that I can see, so far, so I am assuming both GE and the Octopus billing system have all the data.

Dai if you're talking about reports, then I think they take the data from the inverter & CT clamp, I don't think they use the API to tell you the export.
For my smart tariff card, the historical data comes from the Octopus API and matches their system (which I would expect it to). The in day figures come from the CT clamp, which as you mention is approximate.
I'm wondering if there are some rounding discrepancies in the figures which may cause some of the difference
Cdent I am already working to 4 decimal place on the my spreadsheet to rounding I don’t think is the issue, but if your data matches, then I set up a query to go to Octopus via the api myself to get some data for Octopus billing and carry on fighting the good fight with their billing team. Thanks for your help.
Ps on the same bill Octopus got the import wrong as well, that was easy to prove as they had the wrong tariff and attempted to charge me for all day at equivalent of the max Flux rate, so the finger is definitively pointing at Octopus billing issue especially the amount of manual intervention there currently is producing Flux bills

Lets you download the 30 min DCC data. They do seem to re-query for missing data, and there are GENERALLY no gaps.
Just an update, after numerous calls eventually Octopus has remedied their billing for the export and it is now correct
Still awaiting for them to bill at the right tariff for import though☹️
