String 2 shuts down above 145 volts?

Just had GivEnergy G3 5kW inverter and GivEnergy 5.2kWh battery fitted as of Friday 26/05/23, and when the second string of 4 Jinko Tiger Neo 430W N-Type panels generates above 145 volts the Inverter output on that string shuts down. The first string of 8 panels doesn't have that problem.

Is there an Over Voltage limit that has been set too low?

What could be wrong?

jradxl what firmware and serial number.

Have you called in to support?

Hi,
I did call yesterday but my question at that time was String 2 was at 145 volts and so the thought was it just hadn't swiched on, so the support technician reduced the start up voltage to 130, and said would take some time to react.

But now, with more time to look at data, it's very odd...

As the day starts String 2 voltage climbs to 130 ++, as soon as it reaches 145 it shuts off, but if the voltage then reduces to below 145 it does not resume. I assume it will tomorrow.

Reading other posts, could it be export shutdown?
At moment I am Octopus Flexible as the installation was only finished Friday.
The parting comment from the install electrician late Frday afternoon was, that he couldn't commission String 2 as it was not generating - but it was bright sunlight and 145v from the array.

jradxl I will update the Inverter FW.

Then see if the issue is still present. D303-A303 is the release version.

With the new FW, PV was reading 0 for everything, reverting.

How many strings do you have? Only seeing voltage on string 2, happily powering down to 130v as it should.

#7 TheDragon (GivEnergy)

You now lave the latest Grid compliant Firmware. D303-A303 for Gen3 Hybrid, with 130v startup

@jradxl Hi, did you get your issue resolved? I have a very similar set up and I am getting the same issue of it stalling until I reboot the inverter...... tech support are have not been able to help, even had the inverter swapped out but its still happening......would be nice if Givenergy would actually look into this instead off fob me off with rubbish excuses about new firmware etc
