Is there a preferred way to just let my batteries manage themselves during the summer? i.e. which is best for overall battery life/longevity?
5.2 + 9.5 Battery - By 6.30 in the morning they are at 70% when solar starts running the house.. Therefore for battery life is it better to:
1) Leave it alone, so that it is just topped up everyday.
2) Set "Charge power" to 0 and just let it drain down over a couple of days or so and then recharge at 3000W. or,
3) Set "Charge power" to a low level so that it either 'walks' up or down the full range over a number of days. Say an average of 5% increase each day until 100% then reduce the "Charge power" slightly so that it 'walks' down to 0%
4) Or is there an optimum charge rate that is ideal for battery life?

Stick it in Eco mode (in the web portal) or Solar+Grid (in the app) and you are done. Simple as that.
If you have a Time of use electricity tariff then you can also set a Timed Charge and a desired SoC for the cheap period.

I agree in part, however, on the basis it is hot weather and charging at 3000w (as I would be today) will only add more heat to the battery, and over the next couple of months if left alone it is only ever going to go from approx. 70% to 100% every day. So, is there a benefit in going long and slow and through the whole range of charge %'s.
It's a case of "as I know I can" what are the pro's & con's?
I have seen no evidence to suggest that there are any advantages to nursing the batteries (that said, it doesn't mean that there is none).
LFP batteries are very forgiving and we have moved on a long way since the days of Ni-CAD batteries with memory effect.
Switch 'em on and then go do something more interesting with your time. 👍😁
I do my mains charge at circa 1500W
It's enough to fill the battery in the off peak slot.
Means the inverter doesn't get too hot.
Although I think I've read inverters are more efficient at higher rates. So is it costing me more, or less ? (As the inverter might last longer if it doesn't get so hot all the time?) 😁
TX200 Mine's an AC3 + batteries, hung on a 6kW inverter, so good point the AC3 should be running cooler.
