Hi, I just had my solar installed yesterday.
I'd like some help understanding some of the figures.
On my Dashboard, it says the PV is generating 5.4kw. Does this mean it is generating 5.4kw that instant or 5.4kw an hour?
If I am consuming 4.1kw at the same time, is it 4.1kw per hour or at that instant?

It’s kw provided per hour. So it’s producing 5.4kw every hour.
The numbers on the dashboard are a snapshot in time up to 5 mins ago. For more accurate data use the app connected in home more.
The numbers though mean that at that moment, you were generating 5.4 kilowatts and consuming 4.1 kilowatts. If that remained contact you would have generated 5.4kWh and consumed 4.1kWh
If I am consuming 4.1kw that instant, how can I have consumed 4.1kwh after one hour, since I already consumed that much at the beginning of that hour?

4.10 kW is the instantaneous power
If you draw 4.10 kW of power for one hour you have consumed 4.10 kWh
If you draw 4.10 kW for 30 minutes you have consumed 2.05 kWh
If you draw 4.10 kW for 15 minutes you have consumed 1.025 kWh
If you draw 4.10 Kw for one minute you have consumed 0.0683 kWh or 68.33 watts
A Watt is a unit of power. A Watt hour is a measure of energy.
Power is the rate at which something uses energy, and energy is the capacity to do work.
Next Question
Have a look at the graph. It shows that although the solar generation was more than enough to cover the home load, the battery is being discharged at times too. Why does it do that if the solar is enough to cover the load?
