At 0521 this morning my batteries started exporting to the grid at its maximum rate approx 3kW, and whichever setting selected I could stop this, (apart from selecting zero discharge from the beta cloud battery settings).
Also although I am able to set the system to charge it refuses to accept a charge from either a timed charge or from excess solar.
I've tried all sorts of settings in my phone app, also the web cloud and the beta cloud, without any luck, I've also tried turning the whole system off for 10 minutes and turning it back on again, but to no avail!
I've left the system on at present with only 5% charge, with the discharge rate set to zero, any setting above zero on the discharge rate will immediately get exported! All C.T. are measuring correctly. Eco mode is selected.
Anyone else experienced this?

Guzz Are you using more than one inverter or do you have two batteries attached to a single inverter? When I got mine installed in early November 21 I had a similar problem. The tech team were able to apply a "patch" to the system (two AC 3.0, each with a Bat 5.2 connected) that stopped this happening. I believe it involved resetting the inverters each 24h but could have misunderstood. I also thought this was fixed in the December firmware upgrade. The support team are responsive and always seem to be able to help, probably worth dropping them a line when they open tomorrow morning.

One AC 3.0 and two 8.2 kWh batteries

Guzz Did the system recharge from the grid after the discharge? Has your firmware version changed?

I am struggling more than usual to get the app to link into the beta portal.
I adjusted it to save the energy for the storms but when i put them back to normal they did not take the settings and kind of mixed the app and the Beta site settings = not working.
My fix was to open the beta site remote control and read all the settings manually. Some showed they correct values but when i clicked read they had settings from before the storms.
I put them to what i wanted and then wrote them.
In the app I then turned off charging and put it into mode 2.
5 minutes later i put it back to mode 1 (dynamic /eco) and put the battery charge back on.
Next day I had to do the same as it lost something after working fine for 16 hours.

Hopefully today will be the day of it working properly.

I don't believe the firmware has changed, no charge today even though timer was set to charge between 0030 - 0430 this morning.

Any warning on your inverter card? Under notifications?

Just the usual check battery connection, I do get this frequently, often when there is a sudden heavy demand, I believe this is a known oversensitive notification that has been discussed here before. The connections have all been checked and are tight.

Have you raised this with support already?

Yes I've called them this morning, they are working their magic as I type. Fingers crossed it will be resumed to its former working state soon. What great after sales service, always helpful.

Just a quick update on my system, the engineer called yesterday and after a few checks of battery cables, monitoring system and C.T.s came to the conclusion that the inverter was the problem. He fitted a new one then reassigned it so it was the same serial number as the original. Very professional service from Givenergy, so I'm back in business, its just a shame there is such little sunshine today to charge.
Thank you all at Givenergy 😃
