Hi, I'm new here, only just had the system installed, been in 14 days. I'm trying to understand the flow of energy. Anyone know why my battery discharges to grid when not full and there is excess generation available which is also being sent to the grid?

Lurch how much grid discharge are we talking about? a few watts or a few kW? Could you share details of your power graph from the portal so we can see how much you're talking about and under what conditions?

Hi, its not really about the amount of discharge more that is doesn't appear to charge the battery when there is more generation than the house needs and offloads it to the grid instead of charging the battery which is below 100%, say around 95%. The battery has been seen to discharge upto 300w at times in this scenario. I managed to get a pic of the graph for 5th June, attached.

Lurch This is a known Gen2 thing. It is fixed in the new FW coming. Doesn't really cause any problems from what I can tell (my system does it too), as you've noticed it goes down to 95% and then recharges (assuming excess solar still)

Thank you, at least I know what's doing it.
