Has anyone been able to see their EV charger in the app? I have a Podpoint and the app won’t connect to it. My system also just sees my EV charger as part of the household load. So I can’t save the battery and charge from grid when it’s cheap unless I constantly change settings on the app. Any advice appreciated. Thank you.

You can’t, afaik the only charger you will be able to see wil be the forthcoming GE charger (whenever it appears)

Anwar29 any ideas on how to charge an EV during the day? I use the 3-pin charger so my 7.5kwh Podpoint charger doesn’t draw 7.5kwh power from the grid. The GivEnergy app can’t differentiate between my household load and EV load. I’d like to use excess solar to charge the car but not use grid during the day.

Unless the car or the charger can limit the current then I don't think that you can.
Some chargers can be fitted with a CT clamp which means that they can then sense when power is being exported and vary the charge to soak that up.

Thanks. My car can limit the current. That will help. But I would still like to only charge the car when there is excess energy generated. Seems this isn’t possible with my current setup. I would have thought there would be an option to ‘divert to EV instead of grid’

Nope. The invertor just sees it as house load.
