For the 2nd time today the inverter HY5.0 is offline (through app and web)

Dongle is visible on network (blue light is on) and there are no warning lights on any of the hardware. I am unable to access any current system settings as well as access a software reset

Only thing I’ve noticed is there is a battery firmware pending - I’ll deal with that tomorrow once the Sun is shining

Anyone else had this issue and if so how did it get resolved . I’m going ring GivEnergy tomorrow as I’m not a fan of my system doing random stuff

Just to add when the inverter reconnected after the first disconnect, the data displayed in home and away modes was significantly different and varied significantly

This looks a lot like when an installer messes up a dongle commission meaning two inverters are trying to report to your portal?
If you go to your system data tables (for PV as an example) does the data come in 5 min intervals or is it shorter with every other reading being 5 mins apart by any chance? basically as you'd expect to see if you had 2 inverters sending data 5 mins apart each.

Can’t access that (or any other) data . System has been running fine since this inverter was installed in Dec 2022

Interesting than you say 2 inverters trying to share one portal - this is my 2nd inverter , first went back as installer had damaged it by dropping it G

Gruff AHA there we are. So this has happened before. I'm guessing that inverter has been fixed and it's now back in service somewhere. Only problem is it's still linked to yours.
Easy fix for GE if you contact them tomorrow.

Contacted GE Turns out inverter S/N differed to that on the account

Gruff Not entirely sure I'm following what that means but is it now fixed?

Serial number that is stamped on the inverter did not match the one that was assigned to my account

First thing this morning I could access the data and there were clearly two data streams, just as you’d said

GivEnergy have changed the serial number on my account to match the one on the inverter. Checking the data, now I can only see one data stream that is sampling every 5 mins as it should be

Hopefully it’s now fixed

Gruff that’s a new one but glad it’s sorted!
