First time I have charged the car in my 0030-0430 slot for ages, plus battery charge time set for the same time (but to 50% SoC). Weird behaviour…. Car draws from both battery and grid, battery drops below 50% and then tops back up from grid, and repeats throughout whole 4 hour period. First time I’ve seen this, haven’t changed any settings. If I knew how to upload a screenshot I would as a picture paints a thousand words! Any thoughts, suggestions?
Icosens do you have the battery charging set to solar plus grid? Or solar only?

That is exactly what I would expect it to do, if the battery has got to its target value it will stop charging therefore it will return to eco until the level drops and then if still within the charge period start charging to target again.
Did it not do this before?

Although I will caveat that with the last time I charged the car from the grid overnight I was also charging to battery to 100% and maybe I didn’t notice it, so ‘never’ is maybe a bit misleading
I don’t have times discharge set to 0430 to 0030 … would that stop this?
Icosens normally this time of year, I have my battery charge times set to Match the car, but I set the % to say 10-15%. Means the batteries power the house and dump into the car.Not an issue if I know it will recharge the following day.
Smk82 yep, I do the same but I use 50% which I am not usually below by 0030 and charge the car during the day on solar. I get 6.4p per unit export and it costs 7.5p to buy overnight so 1p effective cost to charge up overnight so happy with 50% every morning just in case it’s cloudy or foggy first thing. Not overly fussed about charging from battery then it topping up but there are a few losses in there that could possibly be avoided?
Icosens This is a chart from 23/3/23; the last time we charged the EV off-peak, with Charge to % <100%.
The Givenergy batteries were at about 72% at the start of the timed charge period. EV charged from Grid and Givenergy batteries until SoC reached Charge to % of 60%, then the inverters held the Givenergy batteries at 58% until the end of the timed charge window. No charge/discharge cycling.
Dual gen1 HY5s (D0.449-A0.449) and Batt8.2s (3007 at the time, 3012 now). This is the chart from one inverter, the other is the same.
Here's mine from last night, first time I've needed to charge the car from the grid for weeks. I put a little bit in the battery but charged the car for most of the flux night period, nothing odd, no cycling I can see.
