Discharge settings keep defaulting

Hi,

I’m new-ish to the GivEnergy world and I am currently using octopus flux for both import and export. Given there are no automations at the moment I just want to ensure the battery is topped up between 2-5am which I’ve saved on the app numerous times. Every time I check back (a day or so later) it’s cleared my settings from the below back to Charge Mode: Solar
only

Is there something I’m doing wrong or is there a setting to override this that’s in the GivEnergy cloud portal. Appreciate any help,

I’ve also got this problem.

I’m on intelligent Octopus now after switching from Go last week.

I have noticed that when the car is charging later in the off-park period then the car is depleting my Giv batteries.

To try and rectify this I moved the charging of Giv batteries to 01:30 - 05:30 with max SOC off 100%. I also reduced max charge rate to to 2.25KW to try and prevent it reaching 100% to early. This was done on the web portal yesterday and was still showing this setting at 11pm last night.

This morning the system has yet again reverted the battery charge time to 00:30 - 04:30 and it has used Giv battery storage to charge the car.

I’ve changed the settings via iOS and web portal on different days and it makes no difference to the end result. My max charge rate has however stayed at the new lower level I selected.

Has anyone else run into this or has a fix to suggest please?

Just in case try (from the portal not the app) resetting to defaults then enable eco and set charge period.

Somewhere there may be a stray register that needs clearing.

I had problems when using the app and the portal. I kept getting conflicting things happening.
I stopped using the app (and disabled controls on phone), I now just use app for monitoring.
I then tried Octo R&D scheduler but after peak time export, it will not kick Eco back in.
I have gone to Home Assistant. It can do whatever you want it to.
Beauty of HA is it sits on home network and not subject the internet, GE servers and/or Octo servers (HA is my server!)

SteveCook I've just done the same early days but having 100% on both batteries at end of off-peak seems a big win when trying to avoid peak grid use.

Also worth checking if using GivTCP, check the configuration and ensure that "Solar Forecast Automation" is not on. Also check the values in "Dynamic Tariff".
