Grid meter versus Givenergy readings.

Has anyone else noticed that the grid meter reading of "grid to home" differs quite wildly from that of the cumulative figures that Givenergy portal advises. Specifically, in the last 6 weeks my main electric meter says I have used 55kWh, but the Givenergy portal claims that I have imported only 44kWh. The meter has recently been replaced with a SMETS2, but I hardly think that it is a "bad" meter. It is quite annoying, as the discrepancy is about 125%. I am wondering if Givenergy portal is "down-playing" import energy due to shortfall in software??? Any comments??

Steventon22 it's been mentioned on here a few times, there are some inaccuracies with a CT clamp and it depends whether it's solid core or not too. But yes, my latest bill from Octopus shows 3.8kWh imported, GE portal says 1.05. Export shows 432.9 (Octopus) and 426.5 (GE)

What is weird is how close the GE export data is to octopus but the import data is wildly out yet both of these figure will be using the same ct clamp.

I have noticed recently that in the app my "home load" can vary wildly from say 540W to 2KW+ with nothing being turned on or off.
I have yet to compare a weeks stats to my octopus account but plan too,

I should also state sometimes in the app the home icon goes GREY and shows zero load.

I have a post going on a similar theme. The inverter data agreed closely with our previous, digital, meter over three months. After having a smart meter fitted, that reads far more import than the inverter, like about a factor of 5 or 6!

Well, at least I am not the only one with a problem!!

I am beginning to wonder if the CT clamp has been fitted on the wrong side of a Henley block. I have two consumer units in the kitchen. One feeds power ring mains and the other feeds the lighting and low power circuits. It may just be possible that I am drawing power from one of the consumer units which is not being picked up by the CT clamp/GivEnergy monitoring system.
I may call in the installer to check on that.
