No idea if I am putting this in the correct location or not but here goes. My new AIO has just gone from 52% SOC to 0 in about 60 seconds. No idea why, it has been down to 48% before with no issues. What am I supposed to do now?

Take it your the same person from Facebook - Right place but your still probably better off speaking to Givenergy directly. I suspect they'll want to get ontop of this one quick.

Without the picture, there is not a lot of context, but to copy what I wrote on there:

These are that new that I think only GE can really help. I know what it looks like and if so that's a real shame.
I believe they have 4x packs of 24 cells in series so 96 cells in total.
They are LFP so 3.2V nominal.
So your 280V displayed voltage gives you a current average cell voltage of 2.91V which is pretty much flat. (280 / 96)

There was an issue with the gateway interfering with SOC displayed so hopefully its an issue related to that and not that the AIO also has an SOC bug...

hoggy cheers, I take it this is not monitored by GIV then. I have not been given any information on what to do or who to contact in the event of an issue.

Kwaka it is and isn't monitored by Givenergy, depends if anyone is around. Only Paul really says anything.
If you go to the Givenergy website there's either the online webchat (which only shows up when someone is in) or the contacts page has phone numbers and emails.
I've never really needed it but others suggest the webcam is the quickest / easiest and that would atleast get you in contact with someone that knows about these.

Kwaka oh, it is in that you will see replies from GE here. @hoggy is right though, best to speak/message to them directly as there are literally only 1-2 been reported as installed on fbook so not many users with experience of the unit to help out…

That graph doesn’t look good.

I seriously hope they have not deployed a new platform with the same problems as earlier ones as it would be more than disappointing and essentially render the home backup piece useless.

kram Humm now I'm concerned, I have an AIO install on order (waiting for the DNO approval, no real idea how long that'll take) but what are these issues you're referring to on previous batteries? Are they hardware related or likely to be fixable with software patches? Wouldn't want to get stuck with an early-release bit of hardware with problems that can't be fixed.

I’m in a similar position and going to wait and see what initial analysis from GE. If there are other issues around in such a new product it could be unrelated so I won’t jump the gun.

Look up SoC issue on here if you want to understand what has/had affected other systems.

I’m sure @TheDragon (GivEnergy) will be able to take a better view on this.

Ok, im jumping on this now with the BMS team.

Not seen in testing, or beta, only in the wild are we seeing this.

kram looks although it is. This is what I have been told... we are aware of a firmware bug causing this currently, and will be resolved in an upcoming firmware release.

It's worked perfectly from Monday 3rd up until today. There was a couple of times I thought it had jumped from 85 % to fully charged pretty quickly charging from my panels but I don't know if that is normal. I have also seen it drop lower over night without any issues.

I hope it's something that doesn't happen too often until it is resolved.

We it appears they were flat, they have taken 9.5Kw of charge so far and are only up to 60%.

Oh potentially better news then. Genuinely flat, although why it thought it was full will be a question to ask.

Are they doing a calibration?
Please do update us as to whether this is fixed/installation error/a one off or keeps happening.

As am I. Very much hoping for confirmation this is not the same SoC bug as other batteries. Since that has been known about for months/years releasing new hardware with the same issue would be unforgivable if it was to be the case.

kram totally different battery tech.

These are HV batteries. Not LV.
Different BMS
In fact it's a BCU, BMS BMU setup.
Each pack has a bmu.
Each stack has a BCU. AIO has just one, but the tech allows for more, ie HV 3ph hybrids

TheDragon (GivEnergy) A question you may or may not wish to answer at your choosing but given this AIO will have (hopefully) been in development some time, although the BMS/U itself is different, is the code sitting behind it based on (loosely) some of the older iterations (say Pre 3013) of the "normal" LV batteries packs so is potentially not doing OCV below 40% (or whatever the first iteration was, I'm getting forgetful now keeping up!)

How does this change the prospect of SoC calculation errors?
Bit of an alphabet soup, as mentioned, and tbh I don't understand your post, or the implications for reliable SoC calculations at one point in time, and errors over time, which is all I think most of want to know.

kram sorry didn't see your reply. No I just charged it up and it has been fine since, it took 16kw to charge it fully. I have since been charging it at a lower rate 3-4kwh) instead of the 6kwh, surely it must be better for battery life.
