When is the EV Car charger being released?

Local installer said he asked GE and was told Q3 this year - which is Jul/Aug/Sept so we're already there. No news...and GE don't respond to this question on social media no matter how many times people ask.

The same was said last year.

Some year they will be correct.

PeterH Don't rush, take your time. You could probably take another 12 months to run out of patience. 😉

Hmm I would like these sooner rather than later. My son is now looking for a small ev and I will need a second charger at home!

“soon” depending on context can mean minutes/hours/months/years..

broadest definition possible😂

THALL Yes, I need two, been on the three pin method for too long now, and having recently installed solar panels with inverter and battery from GE, I would really prefer to go with one ecosystem. Ohme, EO Minipro 3 looking ever more tempting, albeit I need wifi connection, want live tariff integration and would like to program taking into account battery, solar, and spotting export to grid - it also cant be a gargoyle.

hoggy V Useful, thanks - looking at the commands I can get some indication of the potential (hopefully impending) capability

PeterH yes thought that would be handy.
I wouldn't get too excited with the reverse flow related stuff, I doubt they have a V2G/H one available (think that's more future proofing their API)

PeterH I currently have a zappi, happy with it overall but things like data collect seem to getting worse on a monthly basis! Big blocks of data missing. They are blaming my alexa devices for the data loss which is crap. The zappi as a charger is fine however, smart tariff integration etc etc. Though saying that it does need a reboot a few times of year if I make changes via the app.

THALL
I sometimes get data losses on my eddi for no apparent reason, I have decided to hardwire it instead of wifi . Though the router 2nd mesh unit is within 3 metres of it.

positor1 I have 3 harvi's, 3 pv's etc etc etc and get various different drops pretty much daily. I am having my 3rd pv wired back to one of the meters on the givenergy ac3 in a couple of weeks. I know I don't need it, but I like the data! £300 labour bill :-(
