Hello,
Maybe a silly question, but does battery discharge send the energy back to the grid? Is discharge the same as export, will I get the income per kw back from the grid?

jayjay4334 discharge is the normal function of the battery, that is when there is need, it will supply power to home but when the demand is met by solar, it wont discharge.
Export is sending the power to the grid from battery.
jayjay4334 will I get the income per kw back from the grid?
Only if you apply to an energy supplier for a Smart Export Guarantee (SEG) Tariff.
I've set a "Timed Discharge" via the online system https://givenergy.cloud/dashboard , and it clearly says:
Timed Discharge "This mode will discharge your batteries to your home during a period you define"
However I find my battery is exporting its full load to the grid.
I had previously tried
Timed Export "This mode will hold your battery power and discharge it at full power during a period you define"
but I found this to be simply supplying domestic demand.
Am I right in that these labels have been mixed up?
