24v wind turbine

hi support
i got a givEnergy 8.2k battery and GIV-HY5.0 inverter with two solar strings connected to the inverter.
how do I connect my 24v wind turbine to my system ?

You can not. All you can do is get a suitable inverter for your turbine. The givenergy system will top up house load when needed but you will not be able to use the turbine to charge your battery etc

You can't directly connect a wind turbine to a GE battery or Inverter.

A GE AC connected inverter would see the export to the grid caused by the turbine's inverter and start charging the battery (if the system is in eco mode).

Not sure a hybrid could do that. Pretty sure it works differently. It only charges from the solar or during a pre-set timed charge (like overnight off peak rates).

Doubt the output would be worth it anyway, so it may be best to let the turbine cover some of your house load and leave the GE system to deal with battery charging.

TX200 I agree. @aspy ask your installer to pair the wind generator to a suitable inverter and connect it to your main consumer unit with appropriate sized cabling and protection. Your G99 agreement with your DNO will have to be updated it and agreed again. It's a faff, but necessary.

Even 200-500W wind generation will make a difference over the course of the year, especially when it's dark; it'll likely take away the background load from the Givenergy inverter/battery although you're unlikely to be able to use it with a hybrid inverter to charge batteries without home assistant or some other automation.
