Hi all, just wanted to ask the question as it’s my first year with at 4kw system with a 9.5 kw battery..
Is there any things I should do this coming winter to maximise my production and keep my battery in good condition.
I should say my battery and inverter are inside the house.

Mark777 mine are in garage and the area is not insulated. the installer electrician did say that batteries like it warm and inverter likes it cool, so ideally i should get a warm cover/blanket for the battery on days when the garage gets too cold.

deepanshus my garage is attached to the house and never gets that cold - or at least not in most usual winters. But I don’t think it has ever approached freezing. (I do monitor its temperature. Does hit over 30 in the summer. Not caused any known issues.

Mark777 dig up, dust with sulphur and wrap in newspaper for the winter months. Replant in the spring. 😁

Or just leave it to do its thing as others have suggested.

Although it is in your house, its likely to make around 3-5% of your yearly heating amount as lost heat. The best thing you can do in the winter is to use the heat from the device. If its in a cupboard etc you might be able to vent it etc.
