Boldly attempted to move my connection from shakey FTTC to my FTTP connection, which has Eeros.
I disabled the 5ghz so the dongle could try to latch on to the 2.4ghz, but after restarting it just stuck on ‘rebooting’.
Any tips on how to connect the dongle to an eero?
Try disabling WPA3.
I'm a stuck record on this, but if you have a Gen 2 or 3 inverter connect the LAN port to the EERO LAN port and chuck the dongle in the bin. Change one DIP switch on the inverter - you probably don't even need to reboot it.
When I had the Gen3 installed I provided a cable all ready for the installer, he wanted to use Wi-Fi, I assume that was his default route on all installs. He relented and it’s now hardwired with cat6 cabling to its own switch.
zxdavb I've just switched to Eero and I turned this on and then noticed that I wasn't getting data from the All In One anymore, turn off the WPA3 and it all works again.
Just a thought: if the home WiFi has automatically selected (or has been manually set to) channel 12 or 13 for 2.4GHz band then the GE dongle will not connect. Well, at least that was my observation.
When I had my system commissioned we had all sorts of issues because the doggle was making a flakey connection to my more distant WiFi extender (which was on something like channel 1) but the primary AP was on 13. Despite the strong signal it just wouldn't work. Once that was realised I reconfigured the main WiFi channel number and it has been fine since.
