The clock on my inverter appears to be an hour out and therefore not synching with Octopus tariff timings. I’ve tried numerous times to Synch inverter and it’s says it has, but it still isn’t, am I missing something? Is there a way to manually set the clock?

Check the time zone on the web portal, account settings page.

Think you need to leave it in GMT and it will adjust for BST for you.

Once you've changed that, then try that sync inverter time again.

I seemed to have this issue. My time zone was set to "GMT+1" but all my data was an hour out. I've just changed to "GMT" and pressed the "Sync" button. Hopefully that will sort it out.

Matt Hawkins "GMT" is a misnomer. It should read "Europe/London" as it changes for BST/GMT at the right date/time via updates sent from Givenergy. Personally, I'd prefer the inverters to stay in UTC/Zulu time and rely on the browser/app to apply local time when viewing what's going on whichever the timezone/DST.

I've also got this problem - the app time is an hour behind actual time and nothing seems to be able to change it!
I've synced the date/time on the web portal account settings several times but it makes no difference. My phone is showing the correct time but the app doesn't want to play ball.

I want to be able to schedule battery charging during the Flux cheap rate time but with this issue, it is causing me a headache - does anyone have any suggestions how to rectify this (although once we revert to GMT, hopefully the problem will go away on its own!)

lisap66 Just put your timezone as GMT (if you're in the UK or Ireland) in the portal Account Settings. Leave as that timezone all year round.

Timezone is already GMT in the portal account setting but that still doesn't reflect the time showing on the app.....

lisap66 Have you tried Sync Inverter Time from your account on the web portal?

Tim Many, many times......!

lisap66 Check whether the web portal is showing the right time on the 5 minute logged data (most recent data will be less than 5 minutes old). Refresh the data by pressing the anti-clockwise arrow that appears whn you hover your mouse on the top left hand corner of the inverter image on the inverter card. If that has the "right" time (ie BST), then the inverter has the right time and the data is being posted to the cloud with the right time. Where on the app is it showing the wrong time?

Tim - the inverter card seems to be showing the right (BST) time, i.e. 18.54 (at 18.58).

If I click into any of the icons (solar generation, home consumption, etc), the app is showing 17.58 so an hour behind (or GMT) and there doesn't seem to be any way to update this......

lisap66 The problem then is that the inverter time sync is failing. If you've tried several times and it's not worked, call Givenergy or start a web chat and ask them to resync the time on the inverter.
