Still getting to grips with the System modes - think I have the discharge ready to go for my Flux export (when I get the nod from DNO & Octopus) - but the charge side I'm struggling with.
I would like for the Battery to only be charged from grid in the cheap window - if the state of charge is less than, say 40%. This seems feasible with the settings - set the AC charge up to parameter to 40 / 80 / whatever - then we'll only pull from the grid if yesterdays solar charge is all gone...
I tried this - but the Charge up to parameter is being observed by the Solar charge too - so in the screengrabs below - I have 80% charge up to - so was expecting the Solar to continue charging up to 100% - but no - it is diverting out to ![grid.] It seems as though this ceiling is being observed by both AC Grid charge and Solar charging too.
Anybody else experience this - is it by design - thoughts?

Jase1703 Cool - thanks for the link - interesting stuff in there - but nothing that relates to the issue I'm facing. Does anybody else see the situation where charging your battery from solar stops if the percentage is above that set in the charging section?

Presume this is a bug. My Gen2 hybrid stops charging when the 'charged up to' set value is reached. May be worth doing a reset as sometimes values can remain stuck in the registry

'Charge up to' is ignored by solar on my system (Gen2 Hybrid) and is only applicable to grid charge. Presume this is an AIO bug.

I’ve just had an AIO installed and I’m running into the same issue, system will export solar once over the “charge to %”. Can’t seem to find guidance about it anywhere else, it feels like I’m beta testing a product here!

MLB Agreed. The current workaround is to use the remote control route via the portal view on the web. The wrapper around these controls provided by the app is either buggy or poorly understood by users - me included.
Hit another issue where setting discharge percentage on discharge also effects load from house - so force discharge grid during flux peak export - down to 40% - great - then after that period we continue to draw from grid as the app has set the lower threshold for the battery - not so great.
I'm avoiding using the app for now to make any settings changes - using the web portal instead - seems to work...

BlokeFromStoke I've had the same issue with the AIO and how solar charging also stops at the % limit set for overnight AC charge. I've tried using the remote control settings via the web portal instead of the app and it's had the same issue. Has anyone actually got this working correctly at all on the AIO?

Barns I'm live with octopus flux now, so giving 100% charge every night - so charge threshold a moot point for me now.
Issue I'm struggling with now is force discharge in the evening, had set threshold to 30% in portal, but that was ignored and battery was fully drained. Want to make sure we never us peak evening grid - so observing a 30% floor for force discharge seems sensible - just not seeing consistent results.

Got my AIO installed and commissioned yesterday. Exact same issue here.
I had hoped to charge from the cheaper grid rate to 70% and then top up the rest from solar today. As you have observed, the solar was also limited to the 70% although the settings clearly state the limit is only for forced grid charging.
Can't confirm if this is a bug or a "feature".

NC I believe there is a bug for both charge and discharge limits when using AC. TheDragon hinted at a fix - but unsure when that will arrive. I currently see version: "D0.607-A0.607" - in the software section of the AIO inveter.
Will become a real issue for me when we start to reduce export in autumn - and I need to keep some reserve to get me through the expensive peak period on flux in the evening.

BlokeFromStoke Out of interest, what does your AIO say as its capacity on the dashboard? I thought it was a 13.5kWh device, but the labelling on the dashboard reads:

I'm wondering whether that's why I'm getting a discontinuity in the SOC % i.e. a jump up to 100% when completing charging, and a jump down to 0% when completely discharging - as the software thinks it still has 15.96 -13.5 = 2.46kW to go, when, in reality, it physically doesn't.
26Left Mine is the same, I think that's the actual capacity without any "reserved" by GE to preserve the battery life, so you actually get to use the full spec 13.5kWh.
I think that firmware version is the latest public release still? It's what I'm on anyway.
TheDragon (GivEnergy) mentioned a 608 version under beta test which fixes some bugs, so hopefully public release soon.

Hi, just had my AIO installed in August. I have been trying all the settings, leave them for 2 days to see what happens and to double check the next day.
I think there is a bug with AIO as if you change the 6000w or the % of charge or discharge then the AIO does just that but not for the period we would like it, it’s all the time. E.g set to discharge to grid 4kW for 1 hour, the AIO only discharges to grid and house up to 4kW. If you set charge to 6000w for 1 hour up to 80%, then the AIO only charges to 80% all day every day.
Hope GE fix this issue soon.
P.S. I am currently using math and time to get the same results, leave export and import at 6000w and 100%, discharge for 1h 10m at 16:00, charge at 02:00 for 2 hrs. As the weather changes I will go back to Dynamic mode, and only charge from Solar. Then charge from 02:00 as required in the winter.

Daveb01 Hey dave - good to see you on here. Yup - think we're all waiting on the new firmware update to fix up these issues around charge / discharge percentages.
I've been making us of the flux tarrif - fully charging at cheap/green window in the early hours - then discharging to circa 40% between 4-7 pm - for the grid assist and max return. I've chosen to reduce the discharge rate (slightly less stress on the battery) - and keep the time constant - but - as you say, using maths to keep some power left such that I never drawn from the grid between 4 and 7...
The AIO has 4 x battery packs.
Product Model - GIV-BAT-3.4-HV
Each Pack has a Rated Energy of 3993Wh. (X 4 = 15,972Wh)
Each Pack has a Usable Capacity of 3400Wh (x 4 = 13,600Wh)
Current AIO has a default 4% minimum usable capacity (13,600 - 4% = 13,056)
It has been reported GE may give back the 4% in a firmware update later this year.

I wonder if the AIO batteries are 4 x GIV-BAT 2.6 without the outer box, the reason I wonder this:
If you go to the portal and click my inverters.
Click Inverter information (looks like a TV top right)
Click battery data
See if a picture of a battery comes up in top left corner. I get GIV-BAT 2.6 (not the AIO as expected)
