All has been well with my system - AC3 + 2 batteries - until this evening....
Inverter showing "No Load" for house, battery full, ECO on, house drawing all it needs from the grid.
I have restarted the inverter and set all settings to default but get the same result.
Any ideas?
Thank you

CT clamp showing the house loads attached and showing the correct values?
G

Are there any errors in the notification log?
Tried turning eco off and on?
Usually resetting the settings and restarting the inverter clears most issues.
Could try powering off the battery and then the inverter and turning it all back on again

GribinIsaf check inverter MCB/RCBO in the consumer unit?

kram CT clamp showing the house loads attached and showing the correct values?
Thanks. The CT clamp has not been disturbed. How do see if it is showing correct valves?

Eco off/on - no change
Batteries/Inverter power off/on - no change
Silly question perhaps... Does the CT clamp need to be tight on the wire. Just looked at it (for the first time) and it is not tight in contact with cable. Mind you, system been happy for over a year and no reason to think the clamp has changed.

GribinIsaf Does the app/portal show import when the kettle goes on? Have you tried a forced discharge? Maybe check the isolator between the batteries and the inverter? Has it tripped?

The portal and app are not detecting Grid to Home.
Isolator fine
If I force a discharge it goes to home and grid

GribinIsaf then the inverter isn’t seeing the EM115 output on Modbus. Check the data connection on the bottom of the inverter. It can sometimes drop out. Check that EM115 has power?

This is the wifi dongle thing? If so, it is firmly in and showing steady blue wifi connected light.
This is the little box near the consumer unit? Green display is lit up and showing changing numbers.

GribinIsaf Check out the data cable coming out of the top of the EM115 near the consumer unit. It'll likely be an ethernet cable (often grey or black outer sleeve). The other end will be terminated in a connector that plugs into a socket behind the black data cover on the underside of the inverter (between where the dongle plugs in and the wall). The connector sometimes slips out of the socket if there's any tension on the cable. There's no mains connections within this black cover, so if you are happy to unscrew it and give the connector a push to see if it clicks in, it'll rule something else out.
The inverter is not receiving data about the house/mains
The CT clamp is a little loose but presumably has always been like this?
The EM115 is showing changing values - does this mean it is receiving data from clamp?
I have removed the cover below the inverter and reseated a pair of connectors where the data cable terminates. I then restarted the inverted for good measure.
Result:
At first appeared no change - House Load still being registered as zero.
But could see a load had been briefly registered during my tinkering.
Pressed data cable firmly again up into inverter and load registered!
THANKS Tim!
Not sure why they were loose - no tension on wire.
Need to keep an eye on situation (as I write “No Load” showing again)
Wasn’t looking forward to 4pm Flux import time today.
Thanks all

Might have spoken too soon, after that flicker of hope can't get data recognised again

Plugs reseated again (they don't seem to click very positively) and data coming through.
I will stop talking to myself and go away now. Many thanks to the quick, clear, helpful people of this forum.

Is it a Gen 2/3 inverter with an RJ45 socket for the EM115 connection? If so, it's likely a poor crimp connection on the cable.
I'd try remaking that connection. You'd need an RJ45 crimp tool and a plug.

No, it is two little green plugs each connected to a pair of wires from the CAT5

Although there is an RJ45 socket (empty) next to them.

GribinIsaf That's for a LAN connection, assuming you have a Gen3.
I'm not sure what make the green plugs are, but I'd expect that they're the cause of the problem.

Um, interesting. System fine all day. Forced an export at teatime down to 25% battery.
Timed export off, Eco back on.....
House Load not recognised

Worse than that - it is charging the batteries from the grid even though no charge is set on the inverter!

GribinIsaf The termination of the wires may not be 100%. I think you've identified the root cause. A call to your installer to re-do the termination and get you back to normal is in order. If you're confident to do it yourself, just ensure you get the wires in the right hole and make sure the connector goes back in the right socket!

Thanks for that.
I have left a phone message for my installer but although being local he can be very elusive!
I will probably have a go at re-doing the wires myself, point taken about noting wire colours etc!
Thanks

Hi.
Just found this interesting thread. I had my installation a week ago. At the moment I have 5x425w panels/Giv-Hy3.6 Gen3 Inverter/9.5 GivBatt
Am experiencing the same problems. No House Load data even under load(oven or kettle). No grid import data. Presume it’s the same issue. Just wondering if you got your issue sorted successfully?
