The clan there are unfortunately several other similar questions on the forum, people noticing discrepancies between the meter reading data and the givenergy portal/App data.
Part of it is due to the givenergy data being polled only every 5 minutes and there being some interpolation of data being done. Also if the inverter loses connection to the givenergy servers the data is lost, it's not stored and later forwarded.
Some of it is just not at all clear why it's happening the way it is. Personally I find the givenergy data is lower than the data I can get from other sources including reading the inverter data directly with the ios inverter app and using givtcp in home assistant (which for me very closely matches my meter data).
It's useful for trends and the shape of your generation but the numbers are not always correct
Oh dear that a real shame. When you see data you just expect it the be accurate.
Mine is the same. The import / export values from GivEnergy are slightly below the actual import / export values from the meter (downloaded from Octopus). If you know about it, you can make allowances. Percentage wise the difference is small over the year (for me at least).
As has been said, data from the GivEnergy WIFI dongle doesn't always reach the GivEnergy database so yuo would expect the GivEnergy reports to be lower than actual.
