I have recently changed to an Octopus Tariff where I can sell back to the grid for approx 32p per KWH. As it is variable to when we use the cooker in the evening I was wondering if there was a way to do a discharge of the battery on an ad-hoc basis rather than using the timed discharge setting? This is because one day differs to another and if there is excess power that I can send back at 32p I may as well

Wevvers the scheduling of the givenergy app are limited, with not a great deal of programming capability.

You could try octopus r&d or wonderwatt who have more advanced scheduling. But to properly control discharge, taking into account battery %, next day solar generation, etc you need to use something like home assistant.
I setup HA a couple of weeks ago and now have scripts to force discharging in the flux export period down to a configurable % battery, leaving sufficient to get me through the evening and night.
