PV to battery during power cut?

Power is off today. Inverter seems to still be running and charging the battery. I wasn't expecting that?

Yea, the inverter will run itself off solar/battery, it just disconnects from the AC so as to not fry anyone working on the lines I believe.
EPS will continue to be supplied if connected.

Thanks, I was expecting the inverter to shut down completely, so that's a bonus. Oddly the front panel LEDs showed powering going to load.
