Can’t pause AIO from discharging

Hi team.

I’ve recently had 20 panels and an AIO installed. Great bit of kit and easily able to run my house.

I’ve been in the settings looking for a way to stop the AIO discharging into one of the EVs overnight. I’ve found the setting I need, set it to pause discharging between 23:30-05:30 as per the octopus timeframes yet it still fully discharged into the car.

I noticed this happening last night and pressed the pause button on the app but it still continued to discharge until it was fully depleted.

Can anyone shed some light on why this would be please? User error (hopefully), Known bug etc.

Have you tried doing a forced charge from the grid during the same time period and setting a battery %age you are comfortable with or one around what %age it is during that time?

It will not discharge the battery AT ALL and whilst the timed charge is in effect it will draw from grid til the end time.

I have an import set up for cheap period as im on flux and this happens.

As you can see in the circled bit once battery gets to %age I set (which for me is 100%) it stays drawing from grid til time period ends.

NC very similar system to you, 20 panels EW split with AIO. I also set pause discharge during Octopus Intelligent schedule, it didn’t work. However, I also raised the minimum battery reserve level from 4% to 20 % as a backup, this did work. Seems to be many AIO functions missing from the cloud such as ECO pause.it’s frustrating considering AIO is supposed to be the flagship. I was also told by my installer that Zappi would not drain the AIO, wrong.
Come on Givenergy, update the AIO firmware and open up the functionality it needs!

Jellybaby that works but shouldn’t need such trickery if pause discharge worked. Givenergy need to fix this quickly.

Jase1703 If everything worked as it should EV would ignore battery entirely and not pull from it period but for some reason that is a bit fiddly to do lol.

Just had a similar system installed and went live yesterday, came on here as had the same problem. Forced charge from grid set for octopus intelligent EV tariff hours but this was ignored and battery charging from grid outside of these hours and drained inside those hours to EV charger

JayW might have been the initial calibration? Full discharge and full charge?

Same for me, had an AIO for a few weeks now, and I've never seen the pause function working. I'd really like to use it sometimes to make sure that there's enough charge left for the afternoon peak electricity prices (Octopus Agile).

KevinB Not sure about pause discharge, but pause charge certainly works - I pause charge from 06:00 to 19:00 so that all my solar is exported. That works fine.

I believe this was resolved by the latest firmware update for AIO. You need to be on this version

Pandorian Are you on a beta version? D0.608-A0.608 is not offered to my AIO in the portal. However, my comment stands, this was meant to have been addressed with 607.

luckypants Not aware I am on beta software - haven't joined a beta programme. The update was available on the portal at the end of September and I updated it. As I recall I kicked it off about 10pm to allow for the following calibration, but it didn't do a calibration.

luckypants 608 was pushed out for AIO users last month but im guessing with all the trouble with capacity like mine it was pulled, would be nice if we could manually switch firmwares and manually trigger a calibration cycle via the portal remote control options.

Newbie question but what is an AIO? All in One? Is it the Battery/Inverter combination?
