Battery discharging to the grid.

We have just had a system with a large 9.5 kW battery fitted. I have been watching the behaviour of the system and have been surprised to see that the battery is actually giving energy to the grid at some points during the day. The solar panels were feeding 104 W into the house, the battery was feeding 3.05kW into the house and was also sending 79W to the grid. The battery at that point was 14% full. I would have expected the battery to retain power if possible....

Jacqui it is trivial. The battery and system always lags as the load varies from second to second, and sometimes will see trivial import from grid to house, or from battery to grid. These normally last for a few seconds.

I see the same on my IHD, I assume its just down to fluctuations in load and speaking with grid, sometimes I got a 500-600w reading but next short info update its gone.
