Solar generation at night?

My best guess is that the CT clamp is too close to another cable and is sensing power flow in that circuit.

Maybe turn on the other overlays to see if anything else matches that profile? If load is roughly the same then yeah bunched cables. If not...aliens?

The PV CT doesn't care about direction, so depending on what it's wrapped around if anything is using power on that circuit (for example if the PV CT is on an MCB feeding a sub board in a garage) it shows as PV generation no matter which way the power is going.
Hoggy, yes the PV feeds into a sub-consumer board for our 'garage supply' so I think you're probably right. I'm guessing the series of peaks are due to a security light which is coming on frequently due to foliage waving around in front of it. I've turned the security light off so will see if the peaks disappear tonight. The same supply runs a freezer in a barn, a security camera and various lights.
I assume this means that all the PV readings on my GivEnergy graph are net of the consumption on the garage supply (which is usually fairly low). There's no easy way to avoid this as running a separate cable to carry the PV power direct to the house would be a major (and very expensive) undertaking.
SteveUK not sure on the distances, but maybe a LORA (radio comms between the solar CT clamp in the garage and the inverter)?

If it helps narrow what it specifically is, the current app has a fortunate bug that if you leave it on local (and stop the phone screen going off) you get 10 sec data going to the portal aswell the entire time.
Handy for tracking odd things like this a bit more accurately as the data is far more granular.

agree but doesn't that assume the ct is on the sub main feed and all that is required is to unclip it from that and clip it on the cable from the pv inverter?

Which I believe is how it's been done from the ops reply above. Ct and AC3 in house end, PV inverter in a remote garage sub with no comms cable between.
hoggy Switching the security light off seems to have stopped those strange 'solar' peaks during the night. I'm not sure of the size of the bulb but, at most, it's 500w, so I don't know why some peaks are higher (or why they differ in height). Last night the solar generation was zero all night so I'm also not sure why the consumption of the freezer (and a few other small loads on the garage supply) is not being picked up by the CT clamp on that supply and interpreted as night time solar. As you surmise, our battery and AC inverter (an AllinOne) and Gateway unit are in the house whereas the solar panels and garage consumer unit are in outbuildings some distance from the house.
NB the 'Home' tab on the app does not work with an AIO (I believe they are working on an update) so we have to use the 'Away' tab.
